Season's Greetings!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Felicitous Solstice, and Happy Holidays to everyone celebrating and surviving the season.

I'm enjoying some time off from work, and will be hopefully gaming with my boys in Castle Greyhawk. I'll also be DMing our usual Greyhawk campaign on Friday (relocated to Friday from Saturday so that we don't conflict with New Year's Eve).

Ravens Fell has been holding extended games, either from 2pm until 11pm or 4pm until 11pm every other day since the 19th excluding Christmas. We play again tomorrow and on Thursday and then on Monday. It has been a marathon running both groups through their parallel versions of the campaign, but it's promising that both groups want to spend so much of their free time playing. Bodes well indeed for the material.

Another related Q, which came up in part in response to me thinking about the actions of prophecy in my current game vs. player (and NPC) actions, and also in a reddit thread not too long ago: have any new types of issues of concurrency of action in your two campaign timelines arisen in play, and if so, how have you handled any timeline conflicts between the two groups (a la Gary's classic example in the DMG Time section on page 37)? Having the play set in an illusions-driven dungeon probably helps with massaging through such conflicts to some degree, but I can imagine that juggling both groups' explorations will always be sometime tricky, and in particular if they're operating in direct competition by actively divining and spying up one another, and exploring the same areas of the dungeon!
