This mini isn't easy to locate, but I was adamant that it was time for Tiamat to live in my collection and that (out of all possible Tiamat models) I wanted Ral Partha's version.
For sure. 25 mm just isn't a thing anymore. It's a shame. I try to restrict minis on the table to 30 mm tops...but you know...players buy a mini and they like it so...what are you gonna do? 😪 I agree the model is on the small size, but the terror of round one, I think, would more than make up for that: if I ever got a chance to use it of course! I like the quota interpretation of the numbers! Delightful.
Looks great, Anthony, and I particularly like your work on the wings!
Has the scale of Tiamat atrophied relative to the larger PC scales for Reaper/etc. minis these days? Having her up on the double-mounted base gives her a bit more height/gravitas relative to that PC figure, but she still looks a little small to my eye....
You can also incorporate the limited edition info on the base into the game: Tiamat taunts the PCs that they'll be deaths #3281 to 3288 of her quota of 5000 PCs per annum ;)
