      Factol Darius

This Planescape Mini from Ral Partha is fairly hard to find. It's also so incredibly tiny.

Cool figure, Anthony!---it would compliment the Aztec-like pieces in the old Grenadier Temple set from their pre-AD&D Wizzards and Warriors days: http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Wizzards_and_Warriors#SS07

I have no idea what a factol is though, and had always assumed it was a political position/title, rather than a monster. The presence of skulls on the base, however, may suggest otherwise?

You're exactly right Allan. In Planescape, the factols are the leaders of the factions. (should those be capitalized? uhhh I dunno). Darius is the leader of the Signers, I think. edit - I'm guessing Anthony got it for his new campaign which seems more mesoamerican-themed, the look would probably fit in perfectly there...

Indeed. You are correct. She's headed for the Mist Kingdoms!

I hadn’t thought of it for the new campaign!—I’ll see if I have some spare other Meso-American-themed minis in the minis drawers!

OK, here are samples of the other minis I was thinking of, Anthony:

      1. Grenadier Temple set from W&W line: http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Wizzards_and_Warriors#SS07 It's a curious mixture of Egyptian and Meso-American stylings, but hey, what can you expect from the late '70s ;)

      2. Naismith Designs' Aztecs @ http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Aztecs and Mayans @ http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Mayans (only 1 image on the latter)

      3. If you're looking for terrain elements, Grendel has a few that are still in production: Aztec Temple @ http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Resin_Box_Sets_%28Grendel%29 and four scenics at http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Resin_Blister_Packs_%28Grendel%29

I should have some spares for the Grenadier pieces; if they look of interest, let me know and I'll pop some in the mail :D
