Foiled by Adobe once again.
I had planned to update the PDF with our group's outcome (which can be found here) but Adobe, being Adobe, thwarted my attempt to edit the PDF in a direct way (even with a free trial of their editor). The text I wanted to add was too large and required export.
Renewing InDesign is something I'm not going to do until I (perhaps) begin layout work on the Castle of the Silver Prince. So, sadly, the account of our group's exploits will have to live on the blog and not in the PDF for the time being.
Should I ever have need of InDesign for the Silver Prince material, I will update the PDF for DHONP at that time...but that does seem like a long way out at this juncture.
So there you have it. Here, without further excuses, is the link the PDF version of Dream House of the Nether Prince:
I've got Acrobat Pro if it's a simple tweak, Anthony, but I'm not much use on the InDesign/layout side of things beyond (excellent, if I say so myself ;) ) feedback. But, I'm happy to help out if you think that's an easy job?
Allan.
The basic problem is that there's too much text to add, which seems to require another page? It doesn't seem capable of adding pages, which seems like an oversight. Therefore it prompts export. Obv, exporting to Word or any other program would be bad, so it's forcing me to go to InDesign to add the real-estate to house the account of our play session. Maybe there's something I overlooked, but yeah, I ended my trial so I would indeed have to have some one else add the account if was possible.
@Anthony: I don't have InDesign, but I can definitely add pages in Acrobat. I'll foodle a bit over the weekend to see if I can add the blog text and if it would do so maintaining the consistent style.
Allan.
@grodog Even if the style were to change? And the added pages were to be reasonable? I think that's good enough really.
